The Terms Collections

Uhhh, okay I'm a little confused about the terms. Do we take pictures of specimens for all forty, or just half of them? And do we define the specimen ones? I'm really confused about what we're doing here!! ): This is very important to me because I'm going to be in Canada on the due dates, so I need everything finished and dropped off in the office by the tenth. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

  1. there are the 40 terms in all; for the first 20 that are due 6/17, 10 of them are pictures with captions that explain how those pictures are examples of the term chosen. for the other 10 of those, you have to give definitions for them. the pictures get posted to the blog, and you email ms. healy/mrs. gearin with the other 10 definitions. the same gets done with the second 20 terms; 10 are pictures with captions, ten are just definitions.

  4. OHHHH i didnt know we didnt have to have full defintions for 10 of them. are you sure thats what the teachers are expecting. so only 10 need pics?

  5. So wait, the ten that need pictures, do we just say WHAT the term is? Or do we have to describe it by defining it? Or just write where that term is on the specimen in the picture?

  6. pretty sure, that's what the packet said. only 10 of the first 20 need pictures.

we have to do a little more than just state the term to define it; some sort of sentence that shows you know what the term means and how it's shown in the picture is probably a good idea.

  7. Sorry for all of the confusion. We thought the directions were clear and some of you have read them carefully and are right on target. The first deadline on July 17 - you need to define 10 terms (we'd like to have you use some of your own words and not just copy and paste!) the next 10 words need to have a picture attached...like Sam K sent a pic of his dog the CARNIVOROUS "meat eating" canine. So the pic shows that you "see" the vocab word in "life". You have 2 batches of these due. Watch deadlines please, some are already behind!

As far as the plant goes....this is supposed to be a competition! Still not sure why you are sharing tips/research etc!!!! DG
